By know you are aware how much we are obsessed with British culture. And for Jeremy De Koste an amazing DJ originally from France that has successfully transplanted his career to Los Angeles, British music producers are big inspiration.
ManChic: Besides France, UK is the the most prolific market for Music and Fashion, how much the sound from UK has influenced your style ?
Jeremy: Dance music style from UK has always been very inspiring to me. I remember when I started to Dj, I was going to London to select and buy some vinyls for my shows.
ManChic: Who would be your #1 choice to work with in UK, and why ?
Jeremy: It would be Calvin Harris for sure! He is the kind of artist who always surprises you with his production. He is very gifted and an inspiration for me as producer. He is a good example of what successful music career should look like.
ManChic: You have over 15 years of experience in Music Production as DJ, what is the most effective lesson you have learned while growing your business?
Jeremy: Keep working and keep working every day. Never be ashamed to fail as sometime that is the best way learn. Also never take anything for granted.
ManChic: Collaborations are al the rage right now, anything cooking on that front?
Jeremy: I recently met a major artist at one of my gigs and we decided to work together on a new EP. I am really happy about that collaboration unfortunately I can not say more about it at this time. You are up for a big surprise.
ManChic: What was the experience working with Julian McDonald on his fashion show?
Jeremy: He is one of the biggest stylists in the world, and it was such a pleasure to be in charge of the music for his fashion show. The vibe was amazing and the fashion show was on an another level.
ManChic: You were DJ at the birthday party of Paul Kemsley for the Americas most watched reality TV show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . How was the experience of being filmed for reality show while DJ-ing?
Jeremy: It was a great experience, it is something completely different than DJing in a night club, as every detail counts. You need to play only cleared music when they record (which was not a problem as I am also a producer). And to be honest Paul and his family are adorable so it was so easy and such a pleasure to play for them.
ManChic: Where can we see you next behind the DJ booth ?
Jeremy: I am going to conclude this year by DJing at the biggest New Year Party in Los angeles at Unici casa.
ManChic: Thank you Jeremy. We suggest that you all check Jeremy De Cost page on APPLE Music for some latest and hottest beats around.
