The bathroom, the most sanctified shrine of alone time in our global culture, is the new frontier for Portuguese paper products company Renova. Renova Black, recently lauded in Europe as the fashionable toilet paper to own, was first test-marketed in Paris last year to a select niche group of high society women and was very positively received. Now, it is about to make its US premiere at premiere hospitality venues in New York. Some of the venues which now have black toilet paper in their bathrooms are Milk Studios, Double Seven, Bungalow 8, Bette, Kittichai and The Four Seasons. This past weekend, Renova Black was also the talk ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair), where the dark product was seen in almost every bathroom at the best parties.
How very bathroom chic. I wonder when it will catch on in the U.S...Hmmmm?
