Denim is dead: Viva le denim!!! This is the main theme of the Fabio Di Nicola collection for winter 2005. For Fabio denim is just a fabric to work on, a forge of ideas to develop. Strictly low waist and streight leg, it has been realised in a few washes. The collection draws inspiration from musicworld: the B52's are the unquestioned protagonists of the collection with the famous cover of their first album shot by George DuBose, of Wharol's school. Besides denim, a stretch cotton T-shirt remains the indisputed leader of the wardrobe.
The idea is to develop the concept of "T-shirt iconique", the t-shirt as a symbol of a rock'n roll collection! Another hit of this season is yellow, a cromatic expression of either violence or positive thinking, it's the heart of the collection and it creates a really modern effect enhanced by the use of grey, black and blue. So cool it hurts!
