Lunar reflexes illuminate the Gazzarrini FW 07/08 collection, the stylish Italian label turned smart chic in its latest adventures on the catwalk. The Gazzarrini man is a rebel cosmonaut travelling among the stars, a dandy hero dressed in cashmere who plays on his own identity pursuing chiaroscuro sensations. A new man who loves, lives and chooses polarities and contrasts, which represents all the shaded nuances of contemporary living.

So the collection is an ode to all the shades garnered between black and white, colour becomes evanescence, the greys are spliced with azures and graphite greens. New volumes, expert tailoring and technological finishes meld in close-fitting garments. What Gazzarrini suggests is a plunge into the galaxies, dropping in on the Moon to return to Earth garbed in light and discover a new vitality which renders us singular and unique.

Limited edition is one of the key concepts in the world of design. After their first collaboration which led to an exclusive Fujiwara Idoll, the Giuliano Fujiwara team, based in Milan with Masataka Matsumara as its head designer, has teamed up again with Ludiko for three new projects, that will be sold in the Fujiwara flagship store in Tokyo and in other selected shops around the globe.

The italo-japanese fashion brand has designed Bettina Black, new to the Pups family, a pillow puppet takin’ the form of a very stylish-and strange- black panther, only in 501 items. Then there’s the Idoll Light, the table lamp version and the “mini” one, to light up your home or your personal phone. Objects for kidults…but very cool ones!

Les Hommes is the brand conceived by Tom Notte and Bart Vandebosch, two designers in their early thirties from the Antwerp school. They show their collection during the Male Fashion Week in Milan. If Tim Burton’s “Sleepy Hollow” and Kubrick's “A Clockwork Orange” were among the visual references for previous collections, the inspiration for the LES HOMMES – HOMME Autumn-Winter 07-08 collection was found in the historical period of the Interbellum, more specifically the late 1930’s in the Far East.

Tibetan history, ethnic culture and their clash with western influences is the key inspiration in this collection. The traditional way of Tibetan dressing has inspired the volumes; the three piece-suit has a dandy look but is designed with a British-colonial touch; a large variety of fancy fabrics, Prince of Wales, pin-stripes and checks, are used in conformity with the inspiration; military details are inserted as a reference to the period. The final result is a very sophisticated man, dressed up and smart chic. Tom Notte & Bart Vandebosch are back with another winning collection and -we are sure- they are here to stay!
