Hair loss is not caused by chlorinated water, frequent hair washing, or wearing baseball caps. Hair loss is considered to be genetically predetermined: the roots of the hair are hyper-sensitive to the hormone dihydrotesterone (DHT). The proof exists that some active agents like finasteride, and minoxidil are able to help restoring and slow down geneticaly caused nalding. There are several brands offering product wiht them like: Propecia and Rogaine.

Propecia and Rogaine are good to help restore growth, but Ive found some other products that are really helpful, especially for people who are just beginning to see signs of hair loss. Fine Solutions by Bain de Terre offers a handy starter kit for initial signs of hair loss. The kit comes with a cleansing shampoo, a fortifying conditioner, and a scalp treatment spray to regrow hair, similar to Rogaine and Propecia. The product claims to do lots of fancy things, but hey, it helps regrow your hair and does make it look thicker, so you cant really lose.
Also, a similar thickening product that I find works really well is Q Hair Treatment, by Lock Stock and Barrel Grooming. This spray is perfect for people with thinning or fine hair. You just spray around the scalp right out of the shower, and when you style you'll notice a serious difference in the thickness of your hair.
I hope this helps guys--
