The fastest and most expensively produced car in the world was unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show. The 1.2 million US dollar Bugatti Veyron packs a serious punch, boasting a one thousand horsepower, 16-cylinder engine that allows the car a top speed in excess of 250 miles, or 402 kilometres, per hour. It's the first car in nearly 50 years to come off a production line with the Bugatti name.
Company officials also note that the car is truly European; it is designed in Italy, assembled in France and includes a German-built engine and British-built transmission.
