One of the hidden gems of Soho, indeed of London, Concrete has gone on to establish itself as one of the capital’s leading fashion stores in the four years since its opening. Its success however had not been achieved through the offering of popular fashions. Guided instead by his instinct and an eye for spotting fashion talents, Philip Stephens, owner of a PR agency that shares the same name as the shop, has gone on to not only become a guide to many young and talented designers but also initiated their first commercial window.

Concrete shop (+44 207 434 4546)
Launched during London Fashion Week in February 2001, collections in the store proved so popular, they virtually sold out of everything by the end of it. The unique selling point is in its exclusivity. Concrete either stocks labels unavailable in London or selected pieces that other stores do not have.
Today, the Concrete shop continues to offer an unrivalled range of mens’ and womenswear from new and aspiring designers including – Robert Cary-Williams (London), Wooyoungmi (Paris), Own (Belgium), Ashish (London), Marc Le Bihan (Paris), Anastasia Z (London), Sophia Malig (London), Preen (London) and a very personal favourite of football and style icon, David Beckham, UNCONDITIONAL(London).
Besides Beckham, Concrete boasts of celebrity endorsement from the likes of Jude Law, Will Young, Skin, Nicole Kidman, Roisin Murphy from Moloko, Kate Moss, Natalie Imbruglia and Kylie. Even Tori Amos made sure to include Concrete in her list during a collaborative shopping feature in Elle’s April 2005 issue.
The shop has grown to become a stop-off for home builders and interior decorators, who regularly visit to check out the furniture and ornaments on sale. To the new designer and the graduate, its name is also synonymous to being an institution that one wishes to pass through and graduate to greater heights.

This sight is HOT! I loved it instantly when I read your first entry! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Keep up the good work!
