Elephants are few and far between in fashion circles—too big, gray, and wrinkly to run with such a polished crowd. But industry insiders love a new idea, and elephants in couture—a concept that animal-loving photographer Bruce Weber approached W Creative Director Dennis Freedman with—is as novel as notions come. So, in the middle of preparing their spring collections, 11 designers whipped up plus-size clothes for a trio of vamping pachyderms. Their handiwork appears in the magazine's January issue, and on this limited edition T-shirt.


The W Trunk Show tee stars Rosie, Dixie, and Tai in custom-made togs by, among others, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, and Yohji Yamamoto.
